ENVIRONMENT
Cordoba is committed to creating and sustaining healthy, safe environments for communities and employees. We are developing our projects to the highest environmental standards, complying with legal requirements, voluntary industry standards and guidelines, and ensuring the input of our stakeholders is reflected in our project designs at every stage of the mine cycle.

Spotlight
Alacran Project
Cordoba has completed a comprehensive baseline study program for the Feasibility Study and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and submitted the EIA application to the National Environmental Licensing Authority in December 2023. The EIA provides a comprehensive analysis of various environmental components, including:
- Abiotic: soil, water, atmosphere, landscape,
- Biotics: flora and fauna,
- Social: population and associated areas, economic activities and archeology.
We have identified and evaluated potential changes and impacts that may be presented in these components for the Alacran Project. An Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is designed to prevent, mitigate, correct, and compensate for any potential impacts that may have at the Project and within its area of influence throughout the construction, operation, closure and post-closure phases. Once the construction commences at the Alacran Project, we will implement monitoring programs to track the compliance of the management measures in the EMP throughout the mine cycle, and make sure we could actively minimize our environmental footprint and uphold our commitment to responsible and sustainable mining practices.
We are committed to be in compliance with the environmental regulations, industry standards and guidelines as the Alacran Project moves through the mine cycle.
